Program
The mission of the Manufacturing Engineering Technology Program is to educate and prepare students for gainful employment and to meet the needs of the manufacturing industries.
Program Goals:
The Manufacturing Engineering Technology program goals are:
1. To train students for a career in Manufacturing Engineering Technology and evaluate their progress to industry standards. These standards include ASME Y14.5M-1994 and others.
2. To provide students with the opportunity to develop skills in critical thinking and problem solving.
3. To provide students with the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to compete in industry. The success rate of graduates will be measured in a number of ways and may include their ability to pass the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Certified Manufacturing Technologist Exam.
