Fire Protection Technology

Welcome

| Overview | Mission | Requirements | Student Responsibility | Internship Experience |

The fire service and related industries provide education about, prevention of, and suppression of fire for their communities. These industries are also involved with providing emergency medical care, specialized and technical rescue, response to terrorist attacks, and mitigation of hazardous materials releases in their jurisdictions. Additionally, they provide investigative services to determine cause of fires and to determine costs to restore property after a fire has occurred.

These industries need professionals who are trained to meet higher entry level qualifications. Those in the industry need opportunities to increase their professional knowledge to prepare to accept greater responsibility and to meet the expectation of the public that those in their service are striving to be the most knowledgeable in order to face the constantly changing face of the fire protection industry.

We invite you to learn more about what this program has to offer
