What is advanced placement?

At SCC advanced placement means that a student receives credit for the college course on the college transcript based on successfully completing certain high school courses.  No tuition or fee payment is required. The advanced placement credit hours will be counted toward graduation, but will not be counted in the student's grade point average.

See your College advisor or registrar for the Credit by Waiver form.
