Southeast Community College's Continuing Education Division is holding a one-day workshop titled "Safety Management for Supervisors" that will give both new and veteran supervisors the information and skills necessary to ensure safety is front and center when supervising employees.

The workshop will take place from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, in Room 302 of SCC's Continuing Education Center, 301 S. 68th St. Place, Lincoln. Cost is $35 per person. To register, call (402) 437-2700.

This program focuses on the identification and assessment of hazards, incident prevention and the participant's role in the safety, health and environmental program at their facility. Continuous emphasis is placed on how the knowledge and skills developed transfer to the participant's everyday work.

Topics include safety management; promoting safety and health; conducting incident investigations and facility safety inspections; hazard identification; reinforcing safe work behaviors; conducting Tool-Box-Talks; and an introduction to OSHA with a review of the agency's Top 10 Regulations; and much more.
