CIWv5 FOUNDATIONS SERIES
The most popular course and the "base" class for certification is CIWv5 Foundations. This course prepares students to take the high-stakes CIW Foundations certification exam. Those who pass the CIW Foundations exam earn the highly respected CIW Associate certification, which has been designed to bridge the gap between the subject taught in school and the skills required by industry for entry level IT jobs. The CIW Associate certification proves that an individual has evolved from being an Internet consumer to an Internet producer. A CIW Associate can use common Internet-ready applications, create properly formed HTML/XHTML documents, knows CGI and database essentials, and can troubleshoot networks. The fundamental subjects taught in this course are Internet Business Foundations, Site Development Foundations and Network Technology Foundations. Required book is available at the SCC Bookstore.

CERTIFIED INTERNET WEBMASTER (CIW)
Southeast Community College is an approved provider of the CIW (Certified Internet Webmaster) curriculum. CIW is the largest IT job-role certification in the world, with over 80,000 CIW certifications earned. What separates CIW from other Webmaster programs?
