SCC offers a wide range of excellent services and benefits to their eligible employees. Regular employees, with a full-time equivalency factor of three-fourths (3/4) or more, are eligible for all benefits available through SCC. Approved Holidays
Eligible employees receive twelve paid holidays: New Year's Day, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (2 days), and winter break (5 days).

Social Security
SCC employees are covered by the Federal Social Security Plan. The College withholds from employee wages an amount equal to the Federal Social Security Plan amount requirement for that year, and an equivalent amount is provided by the College.
Life Insurance
The College makes available a minimum of $50,000 life insurance coverage and $50,000 accidental death and dismemberment coverage for eligible employees.
Long Term Disability Insurance
The College makes available long term disability insurance for eligible employees for a minimum of 66.66% of salary not to exceed $5,000 monthly, payable to age 65.
Retirement Plan
The College makes available a group retirement plan (TIAA-CREF Retirement Plan http://www.tiaa-cref.org/ ) to eligible employees, and contributes an amount equal to the employee's contribution not to exceed 8.0%. Eligible employees age 30 and above are required to participate.
Worker's Compensation
All employees are covered by insurance for expenses involved with an on-the-job accident.
Tax-Sheltered Annuity
Participation optional.
Continuing Education Class Tuition Reimbursement
Tuition Remission Policy for Employees and Dependents
100 percent tuition remission for eligible employees, 50 percent tuition remission for spouse or dependent of an eligible employee.
Tuition Reimbursement
An eligible employee shall have the opportunity to be reimbursed for costs incurred for the completion of undergraduate or graduate credit courses from colleges or universities.
The Southeast Community College Board of Governors is responsible for implementing and maintaining the program of benefits for eligible employees.
