Program Requirements & Student Responsibilities
Complete and submit an Application for Admission form and return it to SCC’s Milford Campus. Students accepted for this class will be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis.

Maintain attendance standards according to college policy.
Follow designated safety procedures while on campus.
Participate in all learning activities at the scheduled times, and complete and submit required assignments and projects by the required due date.
Be responsible for program costs: tuition, fees, books and tools.
Program Goals
Provide students with adequate technical training in the areas of concrete, masonry, carpentry, drafting and estimating, cabinet making and house construction that will enable them to succeed at entry-level employment in the construction industry.
Provide an effective training program that meets the employment needs of the residential and commercial construction job markets.
Provide proper training for the operation of concrete and masonry tools, carpentry tools and processes, drafting equipment, and wood fabrication equipment.
Provide students with a safe and healthy working environment that is conducive to learning.
Provide the student with a strong foundation of construction materials and construction principles and methods.
Provide the student with a strong foundation and experience with hands-on construction applications and processes that will allow them to succeed as an entry-level technician in the construction field.
