More About the Program

Program Goals Electrical:

  1. Provide students with a safe learning environment, emphasizing good safety practices and neat lab work. Through videos, lectures and external training, students will learn the importance of on-the-job safety.
  2. Provide students with state-of-the art equipment for current technological experiences.
  3. Provide students with a strong background in the National Electrical Code and Industrial design to successfully prepare for the state Electrical Journeyman’s exam.
  4. Provide students with a foundational knowledge to prepare them to be employed in industry to install, maintain, schedule and supervise in the area of robotics and industrial electronics.

Program Goals Electromechanical:

  1. Provide students with a safe environment, emphasizing good safety practices and neat lab work. Through videos, lectures and external training, students will learn the importance of on-the-job safety.
  2. Provide students with state-of-the-art equipment for current technological experiences.
  3. Provide the student with a strong background in machine tool, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearing selection, belt and gear design/selection to gain employment in manufacturing and other maintenance areas.
  4. Provide students with a foundational knowledge to prepare them to be employed in industry to install, maintain, schedule and supervise in the area of robotics and industrial electronics.
