Clinical Education
The Medical Assisting Program prepares students for a career in medical assisting, including patient care, laboratory procedures, and medical office administration. In addition, 240 hours of clinical experience is provided for students in cooperation with physicians in Lincoln and surrounding communities. The clinical education provides a unique opportunity to apply what is learned on campus to real world situations in a physician’s clinical setting. There will be periodic visitations by program instructors to the clinical sites to ensure student success.

Criminal Background Check
A criminal background check will be required of each student in this program. Based on the outcome of the background check, a student may be prevented from taking certain courses, accessing certain laboratory experiences, or completing the program. A non-refundable fee of $45 will be assessed for this CBC.
