Program Requirements & Student Responsibilities
  1. Complete and submit an Application for Admission form and return it to SCC’s Milford Campus. Students accepted for this program will be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis.
  2. All applicants are responsible for scheduling an appointment to take the COMPASS test. ACT scores may be accepted.   3. Maintain attendance standards according to college policy.
  4. Follow designated safety procedures while on campus.
  5. Participate in all learning activities at the scheduled times.
  6. Be responsible for program costs: tuition, fees, books and tools.

Program Goals

  1. Provide technical training in the inspection methods of ultrasonic, radiography, film interpretation, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy current and visual inspection. In addition, training will be provided in ancillary classes that strengthen the knowledge of the NDT technician.
  2. Provide an effective training program that meets the employment needs of the various industries that NDT serves.
  3. Provide students with safe working habits so as not to injure themselves, others, or personal property.
  4. Instill in the student a sense of punctuality and time management.
