SCC’s Parts Marketing & Management program doesn’t just teach students how to manage a parts counter at a retail store or implement dealer. Today’s program graduates work as inventory specialists, aftermarket managers, in retail merchandising, and as warranty managers. Hands-on learning is what SCC is all about.

Overview
SCC’s Parts Marketing & Management program is a 12-month (diploma) or 15-month (Associate of Applied Science degree) program designed to upgrade the competence and professional level of sales and service. The curriculum is designed by business and industry and SCC. The program partners with business across many industries in order to best match up students with a broad range of student interest. Students make these partnerships a success. The program involves attending classroom lecture and practical laboratory experiences in the college business/parts store and a unique opportunity to work in industry in a cooperative education earning college credit while earning a wage. Most students are offered full-time employment from their sponsoring cooperative education business. The transition from college to full-time employment is very smooth because a job is waiting for them after graduation. Students move up the career path extremely fast into corporate district, parts, warranty, service, sales, and general managerial positions; as a service writer, factory representative, sales associate, merchandising representative, advertising representative, business office manager, in entrepreneurship, self-employed, and with insurance companies. Many students continue their education in business, marketing and supervision. The program is fully accredited by the state of Nebraska and by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
