Program Requirements & Student Responsibilities
- Complete and submit an Application for Admission and return it to SCC’s Lincoln Campus. Students accepted for this program will be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis. New students are admitted into the program in the Summer (July) and Winter (January) quarters. Students on a waitlist will be able to take classes if room is available.
- All applicants are responsible for scheduling an appointment to take the COMPASS test. ACT scores may be accepted. Please call the SCC Lincoln Campus Assessment Office for an appointment, 1-800-642-4075, ext. 2715.

- Students must complete specific courses in their Program of Study and have achieved a minimum grade-point average of 2.0 on a scale of 4.0.
- Adhere to the policies of the employer during internship, just as any other employee.
- Competently perform assigned work and complete agreed-upon objectives.
- Complete all necessary records in the Visual Publications Internship Log Book.
- Turn in a record of hours and a copy of product created during the internship.
Program Goals
- To provide the student a safe learning environment, emphasizing good safety and work practices.
- To provide the student with hands-on experience utilizing up-to-date software and equipment.
- To provide the student with a strong foundation of the visual publications field.
- To provide the student with a working knowledge of project workflow.
- To provide the acquisition of professional skills and abilities in digital manipulation for print, pre-press and Web creation.
