Career Advising Services provide free tutorial services to students taking credit classes. Tutoring services depend on the availability of volunteer student tutors.

From your first day on campus to the day you finish your classes, SCC Career Placement staff will help you achieve your career goals. Career Placement offers career libraries with useful information about various career fields and the types of jobs available in these areas. They also provide part-time employment listings for students who want to work while attending SCC. The College maintains a registry of job postings and listings for full-time employment after students complete their work at SCC. In addition they offer Internet job searches.
Career Placement provides job interview training, including assistance with resume building and credential files on the campuses. In order to link SCC students with employers, Career Placement staff schedule on-campus interviews for literally hundreds of employers. Students have the opportunity to meet with business and industry representatives and discuss their qualifications for and interest in positions available in a variety of companies right at their campus locations. Career Placement staff also plan and host Job Fairs to bring prospective employers to SCC campuses and link them with SCC students—for those nearing graduation and others, as well as SCC alumni.
All individuals who have attended SCC at any time are eligible for lifetime placement services. Whether SCC alumni want to change jobs or completely change career fields, they can contact SCC Career Placement and receive information as well as assistance in making contacts with prospective employers.
