Southeast Community College provides reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities to ensure access to educational programs and services.
Students who are requesting an accommodation based on a documented disability are advised to make the request known as soon as possible to ensure timely service by completing the Student Request for Reasonable Accommodations (pdf 70k) form and mailing, faxing, emailing, or delivering it to the Career Advising Office.
Any student with a documented disability should contact the Career Advising Center to determine eligibility for accommodations. For more information about accommodations in college, please review the Dimensions in Diversity newsletter (pdf 253k).
For more information about documentation required to determine eligibility to receive reasonable accommodations in college, refer to the Examples of Acceptable Documentation form.
With regards to students with disabilities who are enrolled in on-line classes:
If you have a disability and would contact the disability services office for assistance if taking classes on campus, there may be issues to access to on-line classes and to your participation that should be explored as early as possible. Please complete the Student Request for Reasonable Accommodations form and fax, email, or mail it to the Career Advising Center. You will then be contacted by someone from the Career Advising Center to discuss your specific accommodation needs. Please indicate the most convenient manner with which you would like to be contacted.
If you are a student with a disability or would like more information, please contact the Disability Service Office on your campus of interest.
