Tutoring

Career Advising provides free tutoring services in many subject areas to students who are taking credit classes. Tutoring services depend on the availability of volunteer student tutors. Hours are posted at each tutor location.

You can also get information about Smarthinking.  This is a online tutoring service FREE to Community College students. Smarthinking provides online tutoring in a variety of subjects like math, chemistry, economics, writing, accounting, and Spanish.

Lincoln Campus
The Tutor Center is located in the back of the Learning Resource Center (room L-5) on the 88th and O Street Campus and on the Energy Square campus (11th and O Street).  The Math Center and Writing Center on the Lincoln campus are open Monday-Friday. No appointment is necessary to receive help with any math classes or with any writing assignment for any course.

Tutors are also available for many other classes such as accounting, biology, chemistry, Spanish, etc. Check the schedules posted in the tutor center for tutoring assistance. If there is no tutor for a subject in which you need help or if the tutor schedule is not workable for you, visit the Coordinator of the Tutor Center. She will try to find a tutor for you.
