Associated General Contractors is a student chapter of the Associated General Contactors, Nebraska Building Chapter and is open to students enrolled in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Architectural Engineering, Land Surveying/Civil Engineering, and Building Construction Technology. AGC is designed to promote the educational aspects of the construction industry and work towards professional development in all areas.
Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) is a student chapter of AITP in Lincoln and open to all Computer Programming Technology students. AITP is designed to provide opportunities for professional association membership; provide opportunities to learn more about information processing; and to open up an exchange of information with people in the information processing community.
Campus Crusade for Christ is an interdenominational, primarily student, Christian organization seeking to provide a spiritual environment to study and discuss the Bible, worship, pray, encourage, and provide opportunities for Christian fellowship.
Data Processing Management Association is a student chapter of the Cornhusker Chapter of DPMA in Lincoln and open to all Computer Programming Technology students. DPMA is designed to provide opportunities for professional association membership, opportunities to learn more about information processing, and to open up an exchange of information with people in the data processing community. This group meets monthly.
Multi Ethnic Student Organization (MESO) provides opportunities for students to become more culturally sensitive and aware of multi-cultural and human relations issues. This organization provides an avenue for students to gain skills to set and meet goals, improve their coping skills, increase knowledge and skills on how to make the system work, and to experience greater involvement on campus.
National Association of Home Builders is a student chapter of the National Home Builders Association sponsored by the Lincoln Home Builders Association and is open to students enrolled in any of the construction technology programs. NAHB is designed to enhance educational opportunities for students interested in careers related to residential/light commercial construction remodeling and provides professional growth beyond the classroom environment. The Milford campus chapter was selected as the nation’s “outstanding chapter” for 1990, chosen over Texas A&M and Purdue University, who placed second and third respectively.
Residence Hall Association (RHA) is composed of student representatives from the campus residence halls. The RHA plans activities, brings issues of concern to the Residence Life Staff, and serves in an advisory capacity regarding policy changes.
Skills USA is an affiliate of the National Skills USA organization that prepares America’s high performance workers. Skills USA is designed to provide quality education experience in leadership, teamwork and character development. It builds and reinforces self confidence, work attitudes and communication skills, and emphasizes high ethical standards, superior work skills, and lifelong education.
Society of Manufacturing Engineers S218 is a student affiliate of the Lincoln Senior Chapter 222 open to Manufacturing Engineering, CAD, Machine Tool, and students in other programs related to manufacturing. The organization is designed to promote higher levels of understanding in areas related to manufacturing, to provide an opportunity for professional association membership, and to allow students opportunities for professional development in the world of manufacturing.
