Community College is ranked in four categories according to one publication’s
annual listing of the top associate degree producers in the United States.
College Week, which publishes its annual Top 100 Associate Degree Producers
list each summer, ranked SCC second nationally in the number of graduates in Precision
Production, only the third time since 2004 the College did not rank No. 1 in
the category. The SCC programs Community College Week includes in the Precision
Production category are Computer Aided Design Drafting, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Precision Machining and Automation Technology, and
SCC’s No. 2
ranking in Precision Production is identical to the 2013 ranking.

and No. 12 overall.

Week is published biweekly in Fairfax, Va., and claims to be “the independent
voice covering community, technical and junior colleges since 1988.” Throughout
the history of the rankings, the publication has changed the names of
categories that SCC regularly found itself.
