Adult Basic Skills

  • Adult Education classes can help you improve your math, reading or writing skills to obtain a job, help you continue your education, or provide self-satisfaction.

    This is a federally-funded program and the following classes are available to qualified students:

    • Math Basic Skills Review
    • Reading Basic Skills Review
    • Writing Basic Skills Review
    • Computer Literacy/Job Readiness Skills
    • GED Preparation

    Orientation and Registration Information

    To get started: Go to the SCC Continuing Education Office, 8800 O Street, Room J-2, to sign up and pay the registration fee for the ESL Orientation. At the ESL Orientation, the ESL Placement Test will be given to determine which level in our program is best for the student.

    PLEASE NOTE: Students who have not previously registered for the SCC ESL program or have been out of class for more than six months must register for the ESL Orientation at Southeast Community College, 8800 “O” Street: Room J-2.
