PHIL-2990 - Practical Reasoning

Prerequisite: Eligible for ENGL1010. Students will be introduced to the theory of sound reasoning and decision-making, with an emphasis on practical critical thinking skills that can be put to use in the workplace and beyond. Topics include the nature of good reasoning and common forms of fallacious reasoning, psychological research on sources of bias and error in reasoning, how to understand and interpret statistical data, and decision-making under uncertainty.
