    Southeast Community College is an approved American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center for AHA CPR and First Aid courses.

Use of these materials in an education course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except a portion of the fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association.

    CPR/Basic Life Support Information

    1. ATTENDANCE: Students must attend the entire class section they have registered for.  If students miss any part of the class, they must re-register and re-pay for another class.  Report to the class session you have registered for unless you are notified by the College that the class is full or has been cancelled.
    2. CPR CARDS: Tuition includes the cost of issuing AHA CPR/First Aid e-cards (electronic cards via email). Students will receive the AHA CPR/First Aid e-card within 20 business days after successful completion of the course. (There will be a $5 fee for any replacement e-card requested.) AHA e-cards expire two years from the end of the month of the issue date.
    3. TEXTBOOKS: Cost includes textbook. Textbooks will be handed out in class.
    4. We require 24 hours’ notice before the first day of class to drop or change any CPR or First Aid class. Call 402-437-2700. 

    CPR-AHA Heartsaver® AED
    This course teaches CPR, AED, Foreign Body Airway Obstruction, and barrier devices for adults, children and infants. This course is recommended for those who respond to cardiovascular emergencies in the workplace. Cost includes book and e-card. This class meets day care CPR requirement.

    CPR - Basic Life Support (formerly know as CPR for Health Care Providers)
    This course teaches high-quality CPR, use of an AED, foreign-body airway obstruction, high performing team dynamics, and barrier devices for adults, children and infants. This course is for health care providers (nurses, EMT’s, doctors, lifeguards, etc.). Cost includes book and e-card. We recommend that day care providers attend the AHA Heartsaver® CPR AED and/or AHA Heartsaver® First Aid courses.

    CPR – HeartCode Basic Life Support Online + Skills Session
    HeartCode BLS is for health care professionals seeking an alternative method for completing a BLS course. This AHA CPR Basic Life Support course is now offered in a convenient online format as an alternative method for certification. Online courses are perfect for those who need recertification or those with difficult schedules. Once you are registered for a specific skills session date, you will receive a non-refundable AHA key for the online portion via email. Complete the online portion, then print your completion certificate and bring it when you meet for the skills session.

    • Include your email address with your registration, so we can email you the appropriate online key. Online keys will be emailed approximately one week prior to skills date.
    • You need to bring your AHA Part 1 HeartCode Online Course Completion Certificate to be admitted to the skills session.

    Cost includes book, online key, and e-card.

    First Aid-AHA Heartsaver® First Aid
    This course teaches management of illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. This course is recommended for people who respond to first aid emergencies in the workplace. Cost includes book and e-card. This class meets day care first aid requirement.
