DreamLab

    Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
    Location: 8800 O Street, Library (LRC)

    This No Cost summer programming will offer incoming Learn to Dream freshman the opportunity to:

    • Meet other Learn to Dream students.
    • Work with Learn to Dream Success Coaches and Transitions Lab advisors.
    • Participate in a college experience first-hand.
    • Improve notetaking and study skills.
    • Gain confidence as a college student.
    • Learn about opportunities at Southeast Community College.
    • Free participation in “Quick-Start” brush up workshop to potentially improve Math and English course placement.*
    • Have the opportunity to win prizes.

    “Quick-Start” - How does it work?

    • As part of DreamLab, students will be able to meet and work with Transitions Lab advisors.
    • Transitions advisors and Learn to Dream Success Coaches will work with students to provide resources and support for students to improve skills, gain confidence and potentially improve test scores.
    • DreamLab students will participate in the “Quick-Start” brush-up workshop to boost college level skills at no cost to them.*
    • After completion of 5 hours, you will retest for free with the goal of higher class placement for math and/or English.

    *Students who want to participate must be awarded Learn to Dream and be planning to attend SCC during the Fall2019 semester. Participation in Transitions Lab during the regular school year will be a $20 cost to the student.
