Graduate Check-in begins at 2 p.m.
All graduates are required to complete the graduation application. Applications are due by the 10th day of the
quarter in which you plan to graduate. You will need to complete a
separate application for each degree you are applying for.
CAPS AND GOWNS
All graduates are required to wear academic caps and gowns
during the ceremony. Tassels should remain on the right side of the
caps until all degrees have been conferred and you are directed to
move your tassel.
Caps and gowns will be available for pick up in the Registration and Records
Office beginning Monday, March 6. The cap, gown and tassel are the
student's to keep. If you receive an honor or veterans cord at
check in, these are also yours to keep after the ceremony.
Announcements are available in the Lincoln Campus Bookstore for 25 cents
Commencement is scheduled for Saturday, March 18, 3 p.m. at the Lied Center for Performing Arts. Report to the graduate check-in area beginning at 2 p.m. and no later than 2:45 p.m.
Graduates will not be allowed to carry items into the ceremony. There also will be no secure room for purses, coats, etc. Please
leave your personal items with friends or family.
When you check in before the ceremony you will receive a name
card with your name and chair number. Do not lose this card, you
will be required to present this card to the reader during the

FAMILY AND GUESTS
The Lied Center for Performing Arts is located at 12th and R Streets, downtown
Lincoln, NE 68588 (Driving Directions)
Family, friends and other guest are invited and may sit in any
non-reserved area, other than the main floor, which is reserved for
the graduates. No tickets are required to attend the
Accessible seating for guests using wheelchairs is available on the Main Floor level of the Lied Center for Performing Arts.
Paid parking is available in the city of Lincoln Public Parking
Garages. See the map for city parking facilities.
Each graduate will receive an empty diploma cover at the
ceremony. If all grades have been submitted and you have no
financial obligation to the College, your diploma will be mailed
within two weeks after graduation. Students will be ushered
to the stage alphabetically by program of study. You
will receive a name card at check-in that will be handed to the
program reader on the stage.
Financial obligations to the College must be satisfied before
your diploma will be released. Please contact Student Accounts at
402-437-2669 for questions concerning your account.
Graduates who chose not to participate in the commencement
ceremony will receive their diploma by mail within 1-2 weeks.

Phi Theta Kappa members are eligible to wear stoles. Please
contact Rachel Mason, the PTK advisor at 402 437-2630, or in the
Student Center by Dec. 3 for more information. Stoles for PTK
members will not be available the day of graduation.
Kappa Beta Delta members, please contact the Business Division
in U4 (402-437-2610) to purchase stoles and tassels or purchase
items on the ACBSP website.
Students graduating with distinction and high distinction will
be provided an honor cord when they check in for the ceremony.
Our graduates who are veterans or active military will receive a
red, white and blue honor cord to be worn during the commencement
ceremony. These can be picked up when you pick up your cap
and gown or at check-in for the ceremony.

by March 1 to allow time to establish reasonable accommodations.
CHANGE IN PLANS
Please contact the Registration and Records Office (402-437-2604) as soon as you determine you are unable to complete
your academic requirements for graduation or if you have changed
your plans to attend the commencement ceremony.
