Come celebrate 75 years of education in Milford!
Southeast Community College's Milford Campus will have a community celebration May 6 and 7 with activities for the whole family.
campus is celebrating its rich history from inception in 1941 as the
Nebraska State Trade School with only five programs, to present day as
SCC with 25 programs of study and approximately 750 students. This
campus is home to Nebraska's first vocational technical college and the
nation's first residential vocational college.
The campus is located at 600 State St. in Milford.

said Ron Petsch, chair of the Building Construction Technology program
and co-chair of the 75th Anniversary Celebration. Petsch has
been teaching at SCC for 38 years. "I want people to realize SCC is part
of the community and part of the state."
celebration kicks off May 6 with campus tours, including a chance to
climb the 60-foot climbing tower, watch a drone demonstration and see a
collection of cars from 1941 to today.
May 7 there will be activities for children, including a tractor pull,
monkey motion thrill ride, wildlife encounters, and a free photo booth.

take a ride on a Model T or find out what it's like to control a power
