SCC Adult Education program offering classes in southeast Nebraska

Are you interested in improving your reading, math, or language skills? Need to earn your GED®? Know someone who is working to improve their English skills? Southeast Community College's Adult Education program is offering open enrollment classes throughout southeast Nebraska to help people reach their educational goals.

Adult Education is a federally funded program to help adults improve their lives by participating in classes in Basic Skills, Workplace Literacy, GED® Preparation, U.S. Citizenship, and English as a Second Language. Individual tutoring and online classes also are available. There is a $20 annual registration fee.

Basic Skills/GED® prep classes are being held in the following communities starting the week of Aug. 17:

Auburn: 5-7 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, Auburn Public Library.

Beatrice: 9 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, Adams Hall, Southeast Community College.

Beatrice: 5-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Beatrice Public Library.

Falls City: 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 116 W. 19th St.

Hebron: 5-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Hebron Public Library.

Nebraska City: 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Center for Children & Families.

Tecumseh: 5:30-8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, SENCA.

Wahoo: 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Wahoo Public Library.
