A number of Southeast Community College culinary students and their chef instructors volunteered their time and talents for the Cornhusker Kiwanis Annual Pancake Feed at Antelope Park on Saturday, March 25, from  6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

This is the Cornhusker Kiwanis Club’s biggest fundraiser of the year, as hundreds of people spend the morning feasting on pancakes, French toast and sausages for a good cause. The club sponsors local youth groups, the Lincoln Public Schools/Food Bank Backpack program, Meals on Wheels, the Salvation Army and other community projects.

“They also give scholarships to students who maintain good academic standing,” said Courtney Archer, one of the culinary students who was at the event.
