Students from across the state competed in 15 different categories. Five of the
winners were students and graduates of SCC’s Graphic Design/Media Arts program.
“I couldn’t be more proud of
our students for branching out, getting involved in the community and having
such an investment in their future careers,” said Elizabeth Vornbrock, program
chair. “All of the awards won by the students are evidence of their hard work
and dedication to design.”
Miguel Muniz received a Gold
Award for Promotional Design & Advertising. Silver Award-winners were Chelsea
Honnens and Robert Taylor for Logo & Identity System and Miguel Muniz for
Book Design. Honnens also received a Bronze Award for Book Design.
Honnens and Taylor are recent
SCC graduates. Muniz is a current GD/MA student.
Judges were Jennet Law, Nike

“Events such as these are an
excellent time for students to get engaged with the local design community and
see how their work stacks up against their future competition,” Vornbrock said.
