The Next Generation of Farmer

 According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s 2012 Census of Agriculture, the average age of farmers has been going up for more than 30 years.

As principle operators continue to age, getting new blood ready to assume full stewardship over crop and livestock operations is a growing priority.

For many farm families, the process is simple: Leave the operation in the hands of the next generation.
