York, NE - On Tuesday, May 17, Southeast Community College will unveil its newest addition in continuing education, the York Learning Center. The ribbon cutting will take place at 11:30 a.m. at the Holthus Convention Center, 3130 Holen Ave., followed by refreshments and tours of the facility.
York Mayor Chuck Harris will be one of the featured speakers, along with SCC President, Dr. Paul Illich, and SCC Board of Governors Chair, Dr. Dale Kruse.
"This is an exciting time for Southeast Community College as it establishes a new transformational direction to meet the current and future higher education and employer needs," Illich said.
The York Learning Center is the first of six centers throughout SCC's 15-county service area designed to better serve the education needs of the communities. Other communities identified as sites are Falls City, Hebron, Nebraska City, Plattsmouth, and Wahoo.
