If you have an interest in
working in the field of agriculture, come see what Southeast Community College
has to offer. The College’s Beatrice Campus is hosting an Ag Day featuring
numerous hands-on activities for prospective students.
Ag Day is Thursday, Oct. 11
from 1-4:30 p.m. at the Beatrice Campus. Activities will start in the Truman
Center and move throughout campus. Students can view a livestock ultrasound,
take part in a hands-on horticulture demonstration, watch a drone in action,
and take part in a harvest demonstration.
There also will be a chance
to hear from current SCC Ag students who will share their experiences in the
programs. Faculty members will be on hand as well to answer any questions.
“This event will
be a great time to come see what the Ag programs can offer you as a
prospective student here at SCC,” said Tyler Lyhane, Precision Agriculture
instructor. “You will get to see examples of the hands-on
learning our students do on a daily basis and how much fun they can have
while also getting a top-of-the-line education!”
