Southeast Community College's Milford Campus held its annual faculty and staff awards ceremony and recognized numerous employees.

Karl Eickhoff, Diesel Technology-Truck instructor, and Ken Reinsch, Electrical & Electromechanical Technology instructor, received the Outstanding Faculty awards. Reinsch also received the 40 years of service award. He recently retired.

"Knowing that you have reached your students on, not only a classroom level, but also on a personal level, is what makes me love the job of teaching," Reinsch said. "For 40-plus years I have held great pride in trying to prepare my students for industry. Seeing the fruits of my labor, graduates in leadership positions all around the industry, is very rewarding."

Clark Rediger, a maintenance worker for more than 25 years at the Milford Campus, received the Outstanding Staff award.

"The student interaction and the variety of jobs I've completed over the years has been an inspiration, and an enjoyable part of my time at SCC," Rediger said.

A number of additional employees received years of service awards, including Mike Berg and Randy Walbridge for 30 years of service, and Reinsch and Ron Petsch for 40 years of service.

The Farmers & Merchants Bank of Milford presented plaques and $500 checks to the three recipients. The Farmers & Merchants Bank has been sponsoring this award since 1983.
