The College provides the following benefits to eligible employees:
Approved Holidays
Eligible employees receive thirteen paid holidays: New Year's Day, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day,
Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (3 days), and winter break (5 days).
Health Insurance

Life Insurance
The College makes available a minimum of $50,000 life insurance coverage and $50,000 accidental death and
dismemberment coverage for eligible employees.
Long Term Disability Insurance
The College makes available long term disability insurance for eligible employees.
Retirement Plan
The College makes available a group retirement plan (TIAA Retirement Plan) to eligible employees, and contributes an amount
equal to the employee's contribution. Eligible employees age 30 and above are required to participate.
Social Security
SCC employees are covered by the Federal Social Security Plan. The College withholds from employee wages an amount
equal to the Federal Social Security Plan amount requirement for that year, and an equivalent amount is provided by
the College.

Tuition Remission Policy for Employees and Dependents
100 % tuition remission for eligible employees. A percentage of tuition remission for spouse or dependent of an
eligible employee, based on employee's position.
Tuition Reimbursement
An eligible employee shall have the opportunity to be reimbursed for costs incurred for the completion of
undergraduate or graduate credit courses from colleges or universities.
The Southeast Community College Board of Governors is responsible for implementing and maintaining the program of
benefits for eligible employees.
