    Describe your teaching philosophy.

I love to teach a variety of workshops in a fun atmosphere where students are free to explore their own ideas and have creative freedom when completing the workshop projects.

Why did you decide to teach at a community college?

I enjoy offering a variety of classes to students of all ages in my community and surrounding areas.

What can prospective students expect when they enroll in your program?

My classes are often full of techniques and new ideas for the students to explore in class and take into future projects at home.

What experiences outside of SCC do you bring to the classroom/laboratory that enhance student learning?

I love to learn new things as much as I love to teach. I have way too many hobbies. I love to take my experiences and develop new classes to teach.

What do you enjoy most about working with students?

I love to see how people create! I am always amazed!

What is the best part about being an SCC faculty member?

The freedom to offer new and exciting classes. I also enjoy meeting new people.

What has been your proudest moment as an instructor?

I love the positive feedback. Often students take more than one of my classes. I love it when students share with me the projects that they created later on their own.

What do you like to do when you’re not teaching?

Finding new hobbies and working on my favorites such as pottery, painting, cooking, and gardening.
