Student Accounts

  • Student Accounts will help you understand and meet your financial obligations while you pursue your education at Southeast Community College. We are committed to providing you professional support while maintaining our core values of excellence, integrity, innovation, inclusion, stewardship and accountability.

  • Tuition and fees can be found on the Costs page.
  • Living on campus helps you stay focused and connected to your classmates. It is also a convenient and cost-efficient. We currently offer apartment-style and suite-style residence halls on our Beatrice and Milford campuses.

  • The hands-on nature of an education at Southeast Community College equips you with the technical skills needed to be successful in the workforce. While we supply a majority of the tools and equipment needed in the classroom, you may be required to purchase specific tools, uniforms and personal protective equipment. If you are applying for financial aid, these items are factored into the total cost of attendance for these programs.

    You can find detailed lists for each program requiring tools, uniforms and personal protective equipment in the Campus Store and in Admissions. Uniforms are available through the Campus Store while tool companies visit the college throughout the school year. We strongly encourage you to carry insurance for your personally owned tools and equipment.

  • As a Southeast Community College student, you are required to cover the costs for books, tools, supplies, uniforms, travel, student activity fees and other educational items. Costs vary depending on the requirements of your Program of Study and individual needs. Cost estimates are available for each Program of Study under the Costs & Info tab on each program webpage.
  • You will be automatically billed electronically – paper billing statements are not mailed. We send eBills to your student email address on or before the 20th of every month. You can also view your online billing statement on The Hub.

    You must pay all financial obligations to the College before registering for future courses and before transcripts, awards and credentials may be released. Financial obligations include, but are not limited to:

    • Tuition and fees
    • Student loans
    • Library and parking fines
    • Housing Fees
  • Login to your Student Account to view your current charges.

    You have the following options to pay your bill:

    1. Online Payment
      Online payments are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The process to pay online is:
      • Login to The Hub
      • Select WebAdvisor
      • Expand the option and select WebAdvisor for Students
      • Select Student Financial Information
      • Select View Account and Make Payment
      • Select Proceed to Processor
    2. Pay in Person
      You can pay in person at any of our campuses at the Student Accounts Office.
      • Beatrice – located in the Welcome Center at the Kennedy Building
      • Lincoln – located at 8800 O Street Campus
      • Milford – located in the Eicher Technical Center
    3. Pay by Phone
      Payments can be made over the phone by calling 402-437-2669 between the hours of 7:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The following payment methods are accepted over the phone:
      • Debit Card*
      • Credit Card
        • American Express
        • Discover
        • Mastercard
        • Visa
      • Check** or Money Order
      • Cash
      *If your debit card payment is denied, contact your bank to make sure you have not exceeded your daily/transaction limit.
      **The College will charge $30 for every insufficient fund check.
    4. Mail
      Payments can be mailed to any campus location to the attention of Student Accounts. Please include your student ID number to ensure payment is applied to the correct account.

    If you received a bill when you believe you have enough financial aid to cover your entire balance, please check your financial aid status or call Financial Aid at 402-437-2610.

  • Another option available to help you pay for college is to enroll in our Tuition Payment Plan through Nelnet. The tuition payment plan breaks down your tuition balance into affordable monthly payments. There’s no interest, payment options are flexible, setup fees are $25 per term and it’s easy to enroll.

  • If you have to withdrawal from a class or classes, you will want to know the requirements and procedures for receiving a refund.

  • External scholarships are awarded by organizations outside of Southeast Community College. Once you are notified of your award, it is your responsibility to:

    • notify the Financial Aid Office with the scholarship amount.
    • provide information about the external scholarship to Student Accounts to ensure we handle the funds as outlined by the awarding organization. Please include your name and ID number (if available).

    Once processing is complete, the funds will be credited to your account. You will want to watch for communications from Student Accounts as you may be required to endorse a check before it can be applied to your account.

    If you are concerned your scholarship may not be sent by your tuition due date, please contact the organization awarding the scholarship for an estimated delivery date. Once you have that date, contact Student Accounts.

  • Our financial aid representatives are here to help you make your education at Southeast Community College affordable. They will guide you through the financial aid process to find funding to cover tuition, fees, books, supplies, housing, transportation and more.

  • You must pay all financial obligations to the College before registering for future courses and before transcripts, awards and credentials may be released. Financial obligations include, but are not limited to:

    If you have a balance due to the College, please contact Student Accounts to resolve your debt. We will discuss repayment options to avoid sending unpaid debts to a collection agency.

    However, if you are an employee at an organization or business coordinating customized/contract training with SCC and you have an existing financial obligation, you will be allowed to attend training. This policy only pertains to credit and non-credit provided to an organization/business as part of customized/contract training and is not open enrollment for the general public.

  • The 1098-T is an informational form outlining qualifying third-party payments or scholarships made to the college on a student’s account for a specific calendar year. If you receive a 1098-T form, you should contact a tax professional or refer to the IRS website about education related tax benefits or implications before filing your taxes. As defined by the IRS, a qualifying payment includes balances paid towards the cost of tuition, fees and course material required for enrollment.

    If you agreed to receive your 1098-T form electronically, it will be available in the Web Info System after Jan. 31st. Physical copies will be mailed via USPS by Jan. 31st if you opted out of receiving an electronic copy.

    Southeast Community College contracts with ECSI to prepare 1098-T forms. You may visit the ESCI website for your electronic 1098-T form, or if no electronic constant has been provided to ECSI a paper form will be mailed to you. Contact ECSI at 1-866-428-1098 if you did not receive a form, need a replacement or have general questions about the 1098-T form.

    Southeast Community College does not provide tax advice. Please consult your tax advisor if you need assistance with tax laws associated with the 1098-T form.
