Joy Shultz of Wahoo and Dawn Thumser of Plattsmouth became the first students to graduate from Southeast Community College without ever setting foot on an SCC campus. Both utilized SCC’s learning centers in their respective communities to earn degrees in December.

The Southeast Community College Board of Governors approved a $3 per credit hour increase in the Facility Fee for the 2022-2023 academic year, but held tuition at its current rate during its regular monthly meeting on Dec. 14. The motion was unanimous.
Caleb Berg is the new Administrative Director of the SENCAP/Dual Credit Advantage program at Southeast Community College. Berg previously worked at the College in Continuing Education. Prior to that he worked for the state of Nebraska in workforce training and program management.
Students on Southeast Community College’s Beatrice Campus raised approximately $3,400 for the Gage County Adopt-a-Kid community service project. Students raised money to buy nearly 80 gifts for local children in the Beatrice area during the holiday season.
