When Ford’s Brendan Coursey evaluates the 41 Ford Automotive Student Service Education Training programs, he is looking for three things: student retention; dealer placement rates; and the number of certifications students earn. SCC goes above and beyond in all three areas.

Nathan Middleton participated in SkillsUSA while he was in high school. He competed in welding, which he found an interest in at his after-school job in Alliance.
SCC worked with Ybor and Fleetwood to launch a line cook apprenticeship dedicated to workforce development for people returning to society after incarceration.

Looking back on this journey, I'm truly grateful for all of the experiences SCC has provided me. I remember stepping into college as a shy, anxious student who was solely focused on getting good grades. However, SCC has allowed me to gain new experiences and meet new people all while challenging myself. This has helped me blossom into a more confident version of myself. I have SCC to thank for helping me grow as a person while still being true to myself.
