Continuing Education Scholarships for Students in Non-credit Courses

Thanks to the generous support of donors and Continuing Education staff, a limited number of scholarships may be available each year to help cover the cost of non-credit courses and workshops. If financial assistance would help make learning more accessible for you, we encourage you to complete an application. Scholarships are awarded based on eligibility criteria, and all qualifying learners are welcome to apply.

Applications must be received at least two weeks prior to the start date of class in order to be considered for a scholarship.

To qualify you must meet the income criteria and be eligible to work in the United States. Eligible students must have a family income at or below 250 percent of federal poverty guidelines. Criteria Include: Financial need, Nebraska resident and High school diploma or GED®.

  • If approved, the Continuing Education Scholarship will grant a one-time award of up to $100 to be used toward the tuition for one course. Payment of any remaining tuition, fees, taxes, and supplies are the responsibility of the student.
  • Registration and payment of the amount of tuition that would not be covered by the scholarship if granted, are due at the time of registration, and without, will stop the process.
  • If the scholarship is not awarded, the student is responsible for payment of tuition in full if they choose to enroll.  If the student should later request to drop the class, the request must be prior to the start date of the class in order to receive a full refund.
  • In no event shall a refund include any monies that the student would have received from the scholarship if the class is dropped by the student or canceled by the College.

CE scholarships are one-time awards intended to help students take the next step in pursuing their personal or educational goals.
