WHY SCC?
What kind of advising will I get in the Academic Transfer program?
You will have two dedicated advisors to help you navigate your pathway. Your College Advisor knows the transfer requirements for four-year colleges. Your Faculty Advisor is an expert in your field of study who can connect you with opportunities based on your interests. Both advisors are committed to your success and available to answer questions throughout your journey.
How qualified are the teachers at SCC?
Our Academic Transfer faculty are among the best as more than one-third hold doctoral degrees. You'll learn in small classes and get individual attention from qualified experts, not teaching assistants. This personalized approach helps you build strong relationships with professors who are invested in your success.
Will I get real-world experience in the Academic Transfer program?
We're committed to providing real-life experiences both in and out of the classroom. You'll participate in engaged learning activities that build essential skills like teamwork, critical thinking and communication. Outside class, you can have internships, service-learning projects, department clubs, the college newspaper or even travel opportunities in the U.S. and abroad.
What is the Global Studies Certificate and how can it help me?
The Global Studies Certificate is a small investment with a big return. You can add this certificate to any degree program and take classes that count toward multiple requirements.
