The SOAR Scholarship
Scholarship for Overcoming Adversity & Rehabilitation. Closing the gap between Pell and what students actually need.
A Pell Grant covers tuition, but it doesn't cover everything an UPWARD student needs to succeed. Books. Supplies. Tools. Lab fees. Specialized equipment for trades programs. The SOAR Scholarship exists to cover those costs, making sure that no UPWARD student is held back by the gap between what Pell pays for and what college actually costs.
A gift to SOAR is one of the most direct ways to support an UPWARD student. Every dollar goes to expenses that touch the student's daily ability to do the work.
