Build, Create, Explore: Discover Your Potential at SCC Summer Camps

Southeast Community College offers engaging camps designed to introduce students in kindergarten through 12th grade to potential careers.

Camp Programs Include:
  • After-school clubs for elementary and middle school students featuring weekly career introductions and hands-on projects
  • Full-day elementary camps offering week-long exposure to diverse careers
  • Parent-child Saturday workshops where families build projects together, plus themed half-day summer camps for middle schoolers
  • Intensive week-long high school camps providing in-depth exploration of specific career pathways, with possible overnight dorm experiences

All camps emphasize hands-on learning to expose students to new career possibilities, excite them about the variety of pathways and establish lasting interest in vital fields. Activities span construction, manufacturing, electrical, transportation, and other high-value careers across our campuses.

Tinker Up! Camp

Grab your tools and your imagination! Each day at Tinker Up Camp, students in grades 2–5 dive into a new trade — cars, robotics, programming, and more. It’s a full week of hands-on projects and problem-solving challenges that spark curiosity and confidence. Kids invent, explore and make awesome things happen.
Camp will be held in Lincoln.

Connect Up! Camp: Electric Cars

Grades 6-8 (Ages 11-14 with a parent/guardian)
Connect Up! camp brings middle schoolers and parents together for a hands-on adventure into real-world trades. In each session, you will team up to build a project, learn new skills and see how things work from the inside out. It’s a fun and meaningful way to explore, create and make something awesome — together.

Trade Up! Camp

Grades 9-12
Trade Up! camp is your backstage pass to the world of skilled trades. Spend action-packed days exploring careers such as construction, automotive, automation, manufacturing engineering, precision machining, land surveying, energy generation and more. You will get hands-on with real tools, real tech and real pros who do this work every day.
Camp will be held in Milford.

Bake Camp

  • Dates:Jun 8, 2026 to Jun 10, 2026
  • Location: Continuing Ed Center
  • Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm
  • Days: Mon/Tue/Wed

This is an opportunity for beginner bakers to get hands-on experience making bars, cookies, and muffins or quick breads.
Designed for students age 10-14. Parents may wait nearby and lend a hand if needed — and, of course, taste-test.
