Build, Create, Explore: Discover Your Potential at SCC Summer Camps

Southeast Community College offers engaging camps designed to introduce students in kindergarten through 12th grade to potential careers.

Camp Programs Include:
  • Full-day elementary camps offering week-long exposure to diverse careers
  • Parent-child Saturday workshops where families build projects together, plus themed half-day summer camps for middle schoolers
  • Intensive week-long high school camps providing in-depth exploration of specific career pathways, with possible overnight dorm experiences

All camps emphasize hands-on learning to expose students to new career possibilities, excite them about the variety of pathways and establish lasting interest in vital fields. Activities span construction, manufacturing, electrical, transportation, and other high-value careers across our campuses.

Tinker Up! Camp

  • Tentative Dates: Jun 21, 2027 to Jun 25, 2027 (L); July 19, 2027 to July 23, 2027 (M)
  • Location: Lincoln, Milford
  • Time: 8:30am - 4:30pm
  • Days: Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri


Grab your tools and your imagination! Each day at Tinker Up Camp, students in grades 2–5 dive into a new trade — cars, robotics, programming, and more. It’s a full week of hands-on projects and problem-solving challenges that spark curiosity and confidence. Kids invent, explore and make awesome things happen.

Connect Up! Camp: Welding

  • Tentative Dates: Dec 5, 2026 (L), Jan 23, 2027 (M); Feb 6, 2027 (B)
  • Location: Lincoln, Milford, Beatrice
  • Time: 9:00am – 12:00pm
  • Day: Sat

Grades 6-8 (Ages 11-14 with a parent/guardian)
Connect Up! camp brings middle schoolers and parents together for a hands-on adventure into real-world trades. In each session, you will team up to build a project, learn new skills and see how things work from the inside out. It’s a fun and meaningful way to explore, create and make something awesome — together.

Trade up! – Milford

  • Tentative Dates: June 7, 2027 to June 10, 2027 (Monday through Thursday)
  • Grades: 9 - 12

Trade Up! – Milford camp is your backstage pass to the world of skilled trades.  In Milford, campers will spend action-packed days exploring: Construction, Electronics, Manufacturing, and Transportation.  This camp will include a dorm stay and other activities to expose high school students to careers in the trades and life at SCC.  You will get hands-on with real tools, real tech, and real pros who do this work and teach it. 

Trade Up! – Lincoln

  • Tentative Dates:  June 14th to June 17th (Monday through Thursday)
  • Grades: 9 - 12

Trade Up! – Lincoln camp is your backstage pass to the world of skilled trades.  Campers will have the opportunity to explore trades careers in depth during the full day camp (no dorm stay included here).  You will get hands-on with real tools, real tech, and real pros who do this work and teach it.
