Build, Create, Explore: Discover Your Potential at SCC Summer Camps

Southeast Community College offers engaging camps designed to introduce students in kindergarten through 12th grade to potential careers.

Camp Programs Include:
  • After-school clubs for elementary and middle school students featuring weekly career introductions and hands-on projects
  • Full-day elementary camps offering week-long exposure to diverse careers
  • Parent-child Saturday workshops where families build projects together, plus themed half-day summer camps for middle schoolers
  • Intensive week-long high school camps providing in-depth exploration of specific career pathways, with possible overnight dorm experiences

All camps emphasize hands-on learning to expose students to new career possibilities, excite them about the variety of pathways and establish lasting interest in vital fields. Activities span construction, manufacturing, electrical, transportation, and other high-value careers across our campuses.

Tinker Up! Camp

  • Dates: Jun 8, 2026 to Jun 12, 2026
  • Location: Lincoln
  • Time: 8:30am - 4:30pm
  • Days: Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri


Grab your tools and your imagination! Each day at Tinker Up Camp, students in grades 2–5 dive into a new trade — cars, robotics, programming, and more. It’s a full week of hands-on projects and problem-solving challenges that spark curiosity and confidence. Kids invent, explore and make awesome things happen.
Camp will be held in Lincoln.

Connect Up! Camp: Electric Cars

  • Date: Apr 25, 2026
  • Location: Milford
  • Time: 9:00am - 11:30am
  • Day: Sat

Grades 6-8 (Ages 11-14 with a parent/guardian)
Connect Up! camp brings middle schoolers and parents together for a hands-on adventure into real-world trades. In each session, you will team up to build a project, learn new skills and see how things work from the inside out. It’s a fun and meaningful way to explore, create and make something awesome — together.

Trade Up! Camp

  • Trade up! – Milford
  • Dates: May 26th to May 29th (Tuesday through Friday)
  • Grades: 9 - 12

Trade Up! – Milford camp is your backstage pass to the world of skilled trades.  In Milford, campers will spend action-packed days exploring one of four possible pathways.  The pathways are: Construction, Electronics, Manufacturing, and Transportation.  This camp will include a dorm stay and other activities to expose high school students to careers in the trades and life at SCC.  You will get hands-on with real tools, real tech, and real pros who do this work and teach it. 

  • Trade Up! – Lincoln
  • Dates:  June 15th to June 18th (Monday through Thursday)
  • Grades: 9 - 12

Trade Up! – Lincoln camp is your backstage pass to the world of skilled trades.  Campers will have the opportunity to explore trades careers in depth during the full day camp (no dorm stay included here).  Campers can choose to do all four days or pay per day.  You will get hands-on with real tools, real tech, and real pros who do this work and teach it. 

  • Monday: Welding
  • Tuesday: Design and Drafting
  • Wednesday: Electronics/Robotics and Computer Information Technology
  • Thursday: Automotive and Biotechnology
