What is my username?
Visit Recover SCC Username and ID# - enter your last name and full Social Security Number with no dashes. You will be given your SCC Username and ID#. Please note that you must add @southeast.edu to the SCC Username when logging in to the Hub.
Temporary Password
The FIRST time you log in, your initial password is Scc#____ (the last four digits of your social security number). Example: if the last four digits of your social security number were 1234, your temporary password would be Scc#1234
Password Reset
For existing accounts or if the Temporary Password is not working, change your password here with your ID# and non-SCC (personal) email address that matches your SCC records. You will be sent a link to reset your password. Your new password must be 7-16 characters and contain a lower-case letter, an upper-case letter, a number, and a special character (!#$%^*). Passwords cannot contain identifying information such as your name, birth date, or SCC ID#
Multifactor Authentication
SCC requires all users to set up a secondary method to verify your identity. You can use the Microsoft Authenticator app or add your phone number to text a code.
Microsoft Authenticator App Guide
- Download and install the Microsoft Authenticator app from the App Store or Google Play store.
- In the app: navigate through the screen prompts to get to the account list screen.
- In the app: In the upper right corner, click on the “+” icon.
- In the app: Add a “Work or School Account” and select “scan a QR code”.
- On the computer: click next until you are provided a QR code
- In the app: Scan the QR code with your phone. The SCC account will be added to your account list.
- On the computer: click next until you are provided a 2 digit code
- In the app: type the 2 digit code into the text box, then click yes.
- On the computer: You should see confirmation that the authenticator was added and can select Done.
- When complete, you will be prompted to keep account logged in. If you are using a public computer, select No. If you are using a personal computer, select Yes.
Set up Phone for MFA guide
- On the page prompting to install the Microsoft Authenticator app, instead click on “Set up a different way to sign in”
- Select Phone, then add your phone number and choose text or call.
- Once you receive the 6-digit code on your phone, enter the code on the screen and click “Verify”
- If you are prompted to install the Microsoft Authenticator app again, click “set up a different way to sign in” again and choose a backup option for authentication, such as email, security questions, or hardware token.
- When complete, you will be prompted to keep account logged in. If you are using a public computer, select No. If you are using a personal computer, select Yes.
