Advance Your Healthcare Career

Our Healthcare Management program is designed for healthcare professionals ready to advance into supervisory and leadership roles. You'll learn essential management skills including team building, strategic planning, decision-making processes and quality control. This program builds on your clinical experience, teaching you to apply healthcare knowledge to management situations. Graduates are prepared for leadership positions as medical office managers, department supervisors and healthcare administrators across hospitals, clinics and other healthcare facilities, with options to transfer to four-year programs.

PROGRAM GOALS


Team Building and Leadership

You will learn how to build effective teams and supervise staff in healthcare settings. This includes developing communication skills, conflict resolution techniques and leadership strategies needed to manage diverse healthcare professionals and support staff.


Strategic Planning and Decision-Making

You will master planning processes and decision-making skills essential for healthcare management roles. This includes learning to analyze complex situations, evaluate options and implement strategic solutions that improve healthcare operations and patient outcomes.


Healthcare Finance and Information Management

You will gain expertise in financial management and information systems specific to healthcare environments. This includes budget development, cost analysis, revenue management and understanding healthcare information technology systems that support efficient operations.

Medical Office Manager

Manages daily operations of medical practices, clinics or healthcare offices. Oversees administrative staff, handles patient scheduling, manages billing and insurance processes, ensures regulatory compliance and coordinates between clinical and administrative teams to maintain efficient healthcare delivery.

Healthcare Department Manager

Supervises specific departments within hospitals or healthcare facilities such as nursing units, laboratory services or outpatient clinics. Manages staff schedules, oversees department budgets, implements quality improvement initiatives and ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Healthcare Shift Supervisor

Oversees healthcare operations during specific shifts in hospitals, nursing facilities or clinics. Manages staff assignments, coordinates patient care activities, handles emergency situations, ensures proper staffing levels and maintains quality standards during assigned shifts.
