This class is accepted by the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department for the sanitation training needed to obtain a Food Protection Manager certification.
This course is delivered entirely online and facilitated by SCC faculty. You will receive your assignments online through the Canvas. Upon completion of each reading assignment, you will complete an online quiz. A minimum of 80% is required on each quiz to qualify for you to take the final exam (ServSafe exam). Upon successful completion of the ServeSafe exam, you will receive your ServeSafe Certification.
The ServSafe exam is administered online at:
- Beatrice, NE - SCC Testing Center, 4771 W. Scott Road
- Falls City, NE -Learning Center at Falls City, 3200 Bill Schock Blvd.
- Hebron, NE - Learning Center at Hebron, 610 Jefferson Ave.
- Lincoln, NE - SCC Testing Center, 8800 O St.
- Nebraska City, NE - Learning Center at Nebraska City, 1406 Central Ave.

You will need:
- Computer (PC or laptop) with high-speed internet access (smartphones and tablets do not work)
- Working knowledge of computer and internet experience
- The course textbook, ServeSafe Coursebook, is available to order online or at the SCC Campus Store, 8800 O St., Lincoln, NE. Make sure to purchase the accompanying online exam access code.
