SCC offers Driver Education classes at physical locations in Lincoln, Beatrice and Crete. The lecture is also available online.
20 hours of lecture either in the classroom or online 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training when lecture is not in session
SCC Driver’s Education classes are certified by the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for the Provisional Operator's Permit (POP's) and will waive the written and drive exam for 16 - 17 year olds. Note: a waiver is not available for drivers age 18 and older.

The Lincoln Public School Foundation is providing limited financial assistance to qualifying LPS students for
the SCC Driver Education course. For qualifying students, this fund provides financial support for
($349.00) and textbook ($31.05). Complete the application if you are in need of financial assistance
Southeast Community College’s Driver Education course.
Qualifying students may receive full tuition and textbook.
