Southeast Community College, in partnership with 47 school districts in Educational Service Units 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, are proud to offer high school students the opportunity to enroll in Southeast Nebraska Career Academy Partnership (SENCAP) which offers several Academies: Agriculture, Business, Construction, Criminal Justice, Education, Health Sciences, Information Technology, and Manufacturing in Energy and Welding.
Juniors and seniors in high school will not only have the opportunity to take college-level coursework in a career field of their interest, but also have multiple opportunities to explore their career in a hands-on approach through job shadowing, field trips, professional speakers, and annual events highlighting resume building, mock interviews, and other worthy career-related activities.
The program is designed for students to participate in SENCAP for two years with the intention of students earning college credit and preparing them for their future careers.
Students can take their SENCAP courses in a variety of formats: online, distance learning, or face to face. In addition to their college course, they will have a weekly portfolio assignment aimed to provide career education and exploration.
SCC has committed to waiving half of the student tuition and fees for their commitment and dedication to prepare for their career and post-secondary education. An overview of the courses being delivered are listed below. To find out what specific course are being delivered at your high school, call our office for additional information.

Seward Public School“SENCAP classes have taught me a lot about what I’m capable of doing and what I need to work on before I go to college. This experience has taught me a lot about myself and helped me find out more about the career I want to pursue.”
Wilber-Clatonia High School“SENCAP is the best way for a student to form a better decision about their future. Through my time with the academy, I was able to form connections with professionals that I will stay in contact. The workload is light, and worth any student’s time. The academy was able to help me gain confidence with my choice to pursue a career in physical therapy.”
