Stop Campus Hazing Act
Southeast Community College is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students. Hazing is prohibited by College policy and is not tolerated.
Definition of Hazing
Hazing is any intentional, knowing, or reckless act committed by one or more members of a student organization against another person in connection with joining, becoming affiliated with, maintaining membership in, or participating in the organization, when the act creates a risk of physical or emotional harm. Hazing can occur regardless of a person’s willingness to participate and may include actions such as forced alcohol or drug use, physical abuse, sleep deprivation, humiliation, intimidation, or other activities that endanger a person’s health, safety, or well-being.

As of the date of this report, Southeast Community College has no reported allegations of hazing involving recognized student organizations to report under the Stop Campus Hazing Act.
This report will be updated twice annually, as required by federal law.
