Students attending Southeast Community College for the Fall Semester will not be required to be vaccinated for COVID-19, but those who are vaccinated or who attend an upcoming clinic to receive the vaccine will have the chance to win prizes.

After an extensive national search, Brett Bright of Hutchinson, Kansas, will be the new Vice President of Program Development/Beatrice Campus Director/Athletic Administrator at Southeast Community College. Bright replaces Bob Morgan, who retired in May after 31 years at SCC.

Victoria Northrop is the new coordinator for Southeast Community College’s Learning Center at York. Northrop earned her bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and two master’s degrees from Doane University.

Michelle Birkel of Lincoln has been named the new executive director of Southeast Community College’s Educational Foundation. Birkel replaces Dr. Jack Huck, who spent seven years in the same role and is now serving as president of the Foundation Board.
