Southeast Community College student Spencer Barkdoll was awarded a $4,000 scholarship to be used toward his studies. Twenty-one students from across the nation received the Trane Technician of the Future Scholarship who are studying Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning or Building Automation.

Dr. Jim Sherwood of Lincoln is the newest member of the Southeast Community College Board of Governors. During its monthly meeting on Tuesday in Nebraska City, Sherwood was appointed to replace the Rev. Edward Price, who resigned his seat on the Board in July for health reasons.
