More than 400 Southeast Community College graduates from 2020 and the 2021 Spring Semester came out to celebrate their accomplishments at a commencement ceremony on Wednesday, May 5, at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln. Gov. Pete Ricketts was the featured speaker.
Once again, the SCC Storm Men’s Golf team is heading to the National Tournament. The Storm won the Region IX Tournament in York earlier this week. Southeast Community College students who live in Lancaster County or attend classes at any SCC-Lincoln location are now able to register for the COVID-19 vaccine. While getting the vaccine is highly encouraged, it is not mandatory to enroll in classes at SCC.
Southeast Community College received a $2,000 grant for its Auto Collision Repair Technology program on the Milford Campus. Driven Brands Collision partnered with the Collision Repair Foundation to provide the grants to 14 colleges around the nation.
Southeast Community College’s women’s and men’s soccer teams held their inaugural matches on Friday, April 2, at the new soccer field on the Beatrice Campus. This is the first season for Storm soccer since it was canceled last year because of COVID-19.
